Very thick and warm hoodie. Has a nice, heavy feel and is very warm. Also has a cool little hidden pocket inside the pouch. I am 5' 8" and about 180 lbs with broad shoulders, and I ordered the XL. It is just a tiny bit long in the torso, but I would much rather have that than something constrictive up top. I would most certainly recommend this hoodie. Reminds me of those super-heavyweight Champion hoodies from about 20-25 years ago if anyone is old like me and remembers those........... Lol

I’m a petite women 5’3” and when i purchased this product there was no female reviews. I purchased this product to have a warm wind resistant hoodie that would wear well with time and will have for years. I’ve only had it for a couple months and I’ve washed it at least 10 times, it’s holding up nicely. I ordered the smallest size but it was to big, it got smaller the first few washes and fits me better now, but keep that in mind when you pick a size WILL SHRINK WITH FORST FEW WASHES.

Absolutely love this hoodie. Keeps me dry on my motorcycle in rain, light enough for in between fall temps, and feels like the quality material you would expect. It is very comfortable, but as many have noted, slightly on the large side. If it shrinks a little after washing it will be perfect. I went will a 2xl, I am 6'1" and 265lbs. Most of my weight is in my chest (wear a 50-52 suit jacket) and it is quite roomy. It still looks and feels great and many people have commented on it. Sleeve length is perfect for riding to keep my wrists covered. The length is perfect too. If the waist cuff stretches it will be too big, but as is, it's a nice tight (in a good way) fit around the waist and wrists. Any smaller than me, I'd go XL. I think someone 2-3" taller or 25lbs heavier, 2XL would still be a good fit. Photo shows comparison between a Gruntstyle 2XL (which has been washed) and the carhartt underneath (worn multiple times in the rain, but not washed).

Carhartt, you have my business! First off if you're a tall guy like me (I'm 6'5"), you know what a pain it can be to find outdoor wear that fits both length wise, and arm length. This is by far one the best I've found! It's plenty long enough on my body, that when I have to raise my arms up (lifting boxes at work), there's still plenty of material left covering my stomach! And on the arms, they are plenty long enough to go past my wrists! And to top off all of this, it's amazingly warm! I work in a 32 degree work-area and this is by far one of the warmest and best hoodies I've bought. Worth every cent! :-)

I love this sweater! Its heavy and warm. It runs a bit on the large size though. I wear a XXL but i bet i could comfortably fit an XL in these sweaters. Either way i still love it. Putting it on you can just feel the quality.

I love Carhartt!! I have purchased coats, coveralls and hats before. I was so excited to get the hoodie. My husband works outside, Indiana winter can have a few cold months. He doesn’t always like to wear his coat and coveralls, this hoodie is great for cold days when he is in and out! It is waterproof and very thick! Great quality! I ordered the black and gray! They look so good he didn’t want to wear them to work, lol but it is cold so he did. He said they are very warm he really likes them!

Extra large tall. Nice. Usually wear a 2x for the extra length and shoulder room, but Carhartt tends to run bigger than most. The XLT fits the bill. Plenty of room in shoulders and chest, but not too big in waist and belly like most 2xl for me. 6'2 and 240 with 50 inch chest and 36 waist muscular build. The water repellent part is great for light rain or morning dew. Durable too, just dont weld or grind in them as they will melt.

After reading some negative reviews before I ordered this hoodie, I was sceptical, but I'm extremely happy I ordered it. I ordered the 4X because I'm 6'2" and built like a lineman. The neck opening is roomy and comfortable, the hood is great, length is good, the shoulder width is perfect and the fit is great, with some room to spare. I'll definitely be ordering more throughout my time here.

I bought this for my dad who is a very outdoors guy in MA. He snowblows in this and the snow doesn't stick to it. He now has 3 that he rotates and one he keeps for "nice" occasions. I have worn it once and it is a very comfortable sweatshirt that is well made. It is NOT one of those super fluffy inside for 3 washes then gross afterwards. It is Carhartt so it lives up to it's name. He is a tall 6'4" guy who is not lean and this is definitely long enough for him that plumber crack doent cross your mind for a second.

I love these sweatshirts! They're warm enough to withstand Los Angeles "cold" for someone who is always cold without having to layer much, and the water repellency holds up even after several washings so far. I ordered one in black and one in the dark grey, and found the grey one to not be nearly as soft, but just as warm. They're completely worth the price. I'm a 5'11 woman with a large bust, and I weigh 275 pounds. I ordered the sweatshirts in a 2X, and found the sleeves long enough for my very long arms, loose around my waist, and the sweatshirt lands low on my hips, even though I'm upper body heavy with a long torso. I only wish they had thumb holes! The sweatshirts have good amount of stretch/give to make them comfortable and easy to move in. Definitely worth every penny.
